In-Kind Donations

Your in-kind donations support DWC, a non-profit organization. DWC strives to develop creative funding avenues to support our two (2) homeless shelters – Haven House and Abba House. We also provide a continuum of care to women, children, and men through our Transitional Housing Program and Meridian Apartments.

We accept the following:

  • Household Items
  • Books
  • DVD's
  • Toys
  • Furniture
  • Working Appliances
  • Antiques
  • Jewelry


    We are unable to accept the following at this time:

  • Mattresses and Box Springs
  • Guns / Ammunition
  • Waterbeds
  • Computer Equipment
  • Items that are torn or ripped
  • Items that are broken (unless they can be fixed)
  • Items that are soiled or stained
  • Items that smell of animal urine
  • Electronics where the cords are frayed, cut or taped
  • Pianos
  • Tanks with fluid of any kind (gas, oxygen, etc.)
  • Dishwashers
  • Mirrors without frames around them
  • Older model TVs



    Drop off donations:

    You may drop off keep items at Thrift City, (812 SW 10th Adams). The largest secure drop-off area is located in the parking lot on the north side of the building on Adams Street. Ring the doorbell next to the gray door and an employee will greet you and help you unload your items. We will also provide you with an in-kind donation receipt for your taxes. Drop off hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.

    Furniture and appliances can be taken to our Thrift City 2 location at 600 SW (10th and Monroe). Pull into the alley on the west side of the building until you reach the double doors, ring the bell, and our staff will be happy to unload your items and provide a receipt for your taxes. Drop off hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.

    Pick-up donations

    If you are unable to drop off donations, please call our office at (806) 372-3625 Monday – Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) to schedule a pick-up. Our donation truck runs throughout the city Monday – Friday with a trip to Canyon, Texas at least once a month. We will gladly provide you with an in-kind donation receipt for all your donations. (We are sorry but we are unable to pick up donation in surrounding cities)
