Retail Stores
DWC’s retail stores have three purposes: to provide jobs for the homeless, handicapped, and others deemed ‘unemployable’; to tithe out of our donations to those in need; to provide funding for the programs and administration of DWC. Our stores also offer job skills training to the women in our Recovery Program, providing them with a safe place of employment in the journey towards sobriety. Our stores work closely with over sixty area agencies and churches by donating clothing, household items, furniture, and appliances to the poor. Since opening in 2003 DWC has given away over $300,000 in merchandise.
